A mine rescue operation simulator for training a rescue team. My role during the development was to program expand on the pre-existing codebase, develop new UI mockups and to implement new assets in the Engine such as particle effects and materials.
The simulation is run on a local network with one operator and five rescue officers, each with their own computer. The operator sets up the specific details of the operation prior to the officers joining the session and also plays a key role during the training session. The officers have the role of moving through the tunnels while making sure to uphold the rescue standards, which the operator enforces. Knowing how to react to a specific situation is key in a successful mine rescue operation. After each session, a mission log is generated for review purposes.
